“…reaching the lost and feeding the multitudes.”

Blessings from The Lord

Sometimes (especially when we are in need of a little encouragement) the Lord blesses us by showing us the fruit that is being produced through our ministry. The latest example of this came through our website contact page. The comments below were submitted privately by a gentleman named Rick and he has given us permission to post his comments here. The Apostle Paul spoke often about encouraging the brethren and I understand why…this world can beat us all down very quickly if we do not have each other to lean on for encouragement. So I just wanted to extend a personal thank you to Rick and all of you that have encouraged us over the years. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him more.

I’m writing you this evening for a few reasons so I wasn’t sure
which box to check. Regardless, I was at the CR meeting last Friday night
in Winona. I picked up one of your cd’s with some of the music you shared
with us that evening. If you knew my past and my testimony you would know
how big of a deal it is for me to listen to that CD. Up to that night, I
wouldn’t listen to “Christian” music…period. I like folk music by Todd
Snider and John Prine…period. However, my mind was forever changed by the
end of your first song. I’m so thankful I came to CR that night. It was a
last minute decision since I live in Onalaska, WI and I attend CR there.
Our “big” meeting hasn’t started yet, we just have step groups until June

This brings me to my question – I want to find out what it takes for you to
come and participate in a CR meeting. It would be a great way to kick off
our meeting in June.

Just so you know, and in the interest of full disclosure, I’m not “all in”
yet when it comes to my faith. I have a few years of sobriety from drugs
and alcohol but there are a few things blocking my spiritual path…mainly
my brain.

Having said that, I love CR. It has helped me grow closer to God each and
every day. I have a genuine passion fro CR and I love to see lives changed
at every meeting.

Please contact me when you have time to discuss you coming to First Free in
Onalaska. I have already mention you to one of our Pastors and forwarded
your website information to the right people.

Thanks for all you do.
